• Compatibility Scoring: To calculate match scores, Kundali compatibility (Guna Milan), and AI-based insights.
• Notifications: To send you match alerts, messages, and service updates.
• Service Improvement: To improve our matching algorithms and user experience.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides:

• Encrypted data storage (at rest and in transit).
• Firestore security rules to prevent unauthorized access.
• Authenticated access only — no anonymous browsing of profiles.
• Profile photos stored in Firebase Storage with access controls.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Your information may be shared only in these limited cases:

• Other Users: Your profile information is visible to other registered users of the App for matchmaking purposes. Contact details are only shared with mutually connected (matched) users.
• Service Providers: We use Google Firebase for hosting, authentication, and storage. Their privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data handling.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law or government authority.

6. Your Rights

As a user, you have the following rights:

• Access: You can view all your profile data within the App at any time.
• Correction: You can edit and update your profile information at any time.
• Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Withdraw Consent: You can stop using the App at any time. (Note: You must request account deletion to remove all data).
• Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a readable format.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:

• Your profile, photos, and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Chat messages with other users may be retained for up to 90 days for safety purposes.
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics.

8. Children's Privacy

Shubha Matrimonial is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Third-Party Services

Our App may use the following third-party services:

• Google Fonts: Typography rendering.
• Cached Network Image: Image loading and caching.
